Photograph taken from a bird hide in RSPB Saltholme, so Roseberry Topping is around 10 miles away as the crow flies(or indeed how any of the birds fly in this photo!). With the foreground it makes for an interesting contrast between heavy industry and natural landscape.
Roseberry Topping
Located between Guisborough and Great Ayton in North Yorkshire, this peak is one of the most distinctive and recognisable landmarks in the area. As seen here, it makes for a very attractive photographic subject, one I have committed to either film or a digital sensor many times over the years.

Probably taken either in early morning or early evening with the long shadows on the grass, which give a nice effect.

This photo shows how close Roseberry Topping is to the road; around 500 meters on is the main car park for people wanting to climb it.
